Job summary

The Department of Economic Security (DES) in Phoenix seeks a Workforce Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the DERS/WSA team. You will set priorities, supervise staff, coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training, and ensure program compliance across duties.

Travel may be required for state business, with remote work options permitted within Arizona. Strong leadership, communication, and data-analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of supervisory experience or 4 years in public contact/service roles.
• Experience working with farmworkers, refugees, and veterans preferred depending on assignment.
• Pre-Employment Requirements: background checks and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily work assignments.
• Recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Attend meetings for dissemination of information and program compliance.
• Design procedures to ensure office operations and services are effective.
• Collect, analyze, and submit data as required.
• Interpret rules and policies including EEO/affirmative action.
