Job summary

Department of Economic Security (DES) seeks a Human Services Unit Supervisor to lead a team serving Arizonans with developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure eligibility processing meets timelines, and coordinate with AHCCCS and providers to maintain compliant practices.

The role requires strong leadership, policy interpretation, and coordination across multiple sites to support flexible, high-quality services for individuals and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supervision and coaching principles.
• Experience with case management and person-centered planning.
• Familiarity with Arizona Medicaid criteria and DDD policies.

Responsibilities

• Review policy to ensure compliance and supervise a unit of HSSs; provide training to staff.
• Manage eligibility referrals and ensure documentation is complete.
• Coordinate with AHCCCS, providers, and families to meet Medicaid requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to members, families, and coordinators.
• Maintain accurate case assignments and re-determinations for eligibility.
