Job summary

Nelnet is seeking an IT Manager, Workday Platform to lead the technical team responsible for operating, configuring, and extending the Workday platform across HCM and FINS stakeholders. This role focuses on delivery, platform health, and team performance to empower HRIS and Accounting/Finance owners.

The ideal candidate will be a proven people leader with experience managing engineers and developers, strong stakeholder relationships, and the ability to align tech work with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading technical teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Experience handling relationships with non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding SaaS delivery models and integration patterns.
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance.
• Experience in operational processes like incident management and release coordination.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop a team of Workday Operations Engineers and Developers.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into prioritized technical work.
• Oversee incident management, change control, and release coordination.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and well-governed platform services.
• Partner with security and data governance as needed.
