Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a strategic Workday technology leader to scale the Workday Platform Engineering team in Seattle. You will own the delivery of core Workday capabilities across HR and finance, building a high‑performing, globally distributed team.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions, champion automation, and drive ongoing improvements in security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Workday, HR tech, enterprise apps or platform engineering.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Deep Workday architecture, configuration, integrations, security and operations.
• Proven experience delivering Workday implementations or transformations.
• Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning.
• Experience delivering complex cross‑functional initiatives in Agile environments.
• Preferred Workday certifications (HCM, Integrations, Security, Payroll, Prism, Extend).
• Experience integrating Workday with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or Azure.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.
• Experience aligning tech investments with business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of 10-12 Workday engineers and platform specialists.
• Own delivery and operation of Workday capabilities (HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Payroll, Security, Reporting, Prism, Extend, Integrations).
• Define and execute the Workday platform roadmap with stakeholders.
• Promote platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Lead large-scale implementations, enhancements, releases, and transformations.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and best practices.
• Oversee capacity planning, career growth, and performance development.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into tech solutions.
