Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Defense Systems Division in San Diego, CA, seeks a Development Program Director to lead a team of Program Managers responsible for RF electronic components development, iR&D, and production programs with a roughly $100M portfolio.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Program Management, you will drive program execution, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance (FAR/ITAR), ensuring on-time delivery and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Thirteen (13) years of program management experience in electronics/communications supporting U.S. DOD or allied governments.
• Ten (10) years of leadership and people management experience.
• Experience leading new development programs with cross‑functional teams, demonstrating strong leadership and collaboration across technical, financial, and operational functions.
• Experience managing complex programs with >$10M in annual revenue.
• Demonstrated ability to manage A&D P&L including achieving monthly, quarterly, yearly targets for orders, revenue, gross margin, and cash
• Experience leading and developing multiple direct reporting Program Managers
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Program Managers across RF component development, iR&D, and production programs.
• Own program plans, budgets, technical oversight, financial, and scheduling aspects of development programs.
• Drive risk and opportunity management throughout the program lifecycle.
• Establish strong customer relationships and support proposals and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR/ITAR and other regulations.
