Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer for automated systems in Pewaukee, WI. This on-site, 1st shift role leads welding process development, quality programs, and team mentoring for complex automation projects.

You will spearhead weld procedure development, supervise Robotic Welding Technicians, review weld paths, and ensure strict AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX compliance across critical builds.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of welding engineering or robotic welding leadership.
• Deep capability in GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, robotic arc, laser welding.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Robotic Welding Technicians and troubleshoot weld programs.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welding parameters.
• Evaluate fixtures and cell layouts with design engineers for repeatability.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX and customer specs.
• Assist with project estimating regarding weld feasibility and cycles.
• Support equipment integration and robot commissioning on site.
