Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in Pewaukee, WI seeks a Lead Welding Engineer to oversee weld process development, WPS qualification, and quality compliance for robotic systems.

You will mentor Robotic Welding Technicians, review weld paths, ensure code adherence (AWS D1.1, ASME IX), and collaborate with engineering and quality teams on complex automation projects. This supervisor-level role requires 5–8+ years in welding engineering and a strong hands-on leadership style within a family-owned automation

Qualifications

5–8+ years of progressive welding engineering experience.
Deep expertise in GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, robotic arc welding, and laser welding.
Proven track record developing and qualifying WPS/PQR and resolving weld defects.
Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX codes.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card; commutable to Pewaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

Lead weld process development and WPS qualification.
Mentor Robotic Welding Technicians and review robot weld paths.
Collaborate with design engineers on fixtures and cell layouts.
Analyze nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
Support project estimating with welding process feasibility.
