Job summary

Reyco-Granning in Mount Vernon, MO is seeking a Weld Engineer to develop welding processes and tooling for existing products and support new product launches. You will lead continuous improvement of welding processes, procedures, and equipment while training weld personnel.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing or weld engineering, hands-on welding experience (MIG/Pulse), and knowledge of AWS D1.1; Solidworks/WeldPro/CAD and FANUC experience are preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Weld Engineering preferred.
• Formal training in robotic systems, metal fabrication, and arc welding.
• 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Weld Engineering.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
• Hands-on welding experience; MIG and Pulse preferred.
• AWS D1.1 knowledge required; Solidworks/WeldPro/CAD and FANUC experience preferred.
• AWS-CWI preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement weld activities for manual and automated robotic welds.
• Serve as subject matter expert for welding processes.
• Develop and support Welding Procedure Specifications and Manufacturing Procedures.
• Maintain all WPS for W&C Suspensions.
• Assist in procurement and application of welding machines and consumables.
• Develop training materials and oversee welding training.
• Provide technical direction during design and testing with R&D to ensure repeatable, quality welds.
• Analyze equipment data to establish performance standards for new/modified equipment.
• Recommend methods to reduce costs, improve quality, and expand capabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
