Job summary
A manufacturing company located in Springfield, Missouri is looking for a Welding Engineer responsible for developing and improving manufacturing weld processes and tooling for existing products. The ideal candidate will lead continuous improvement initiatives for both manual and robotic welding applications, develop training materials, and have at least 8 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, and knowledge of AWS standards is preferred. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape welding processes in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Weld Engineering.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
Hands-on welding experience required. MIG and Pulse welding preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding standards, particularly AWS D1.1.
Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes.
Serve as the subject matter expert for welding processes.
Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Analyze process and equipment performance data.
