Job summary

Steel & O'Brien Manufacturing is seeking a Robotic Weld Engineering Specialist to program, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding systems in a metal fabrication environment. The role drives efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across weld cells and fixtures.

The candidate will have 5+ years in robotic welding, 3+ years in fixture design and programming, and strong proficiency in GMAW and welding software. MS Office skills and blueprint reading are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years robotic welding experience.
Minimum of 3 years robotic weld fixture design experience.
Minimum of 3 years robotic weld programming experience.
Proficiency in GMAW welding operations.
Proficiency in robotic weld programming software.
Adept in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

Performs offline programming for robotic weld equipment.
Troubleshoots and optimizes robotic welding processes for quality and efficiency.
Mentors robotic weld programmers and coordinates operator training.
Supports redesigns and launches with the engineering team.
Analyzes production data to identify improvement opportunities.
