Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer – Automated Systems to lead weld process development and code compliance on complex automation projects in Pewaukee, WI. This supervisor‑level role blends hands‑on welding mastery with technical leadership of Robotic Welding Technicians.

You will qualify WPS/PQR, review robot weld paths, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure builds meet AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and customer specs while traveling occasionally

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of welding engineering or robotic welding leadership.
• Proficient in AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX standards.
• Experience developing WPS/PQR and qualifying welds.
• US citizenship or green card; resides within Pewaukee commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Robotic Welding Technicians with hands‑on troubleshooting.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications and parameters.
• Select welding processes and review fixtures for part access and repeatability.
• Investigate nonconformances and ensure compliance with codes and customer specs.
• Provide technical input on project estimating for weld feasibility and cycle times.
• Support integration, robot commissioning, and on-site startup activities.
