Job summary

HR Green, Inc. is expanding its Water Resources practice in Florida and seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from planning through construction support, with a focus on hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater design, and flood resiliency.

Preferred location is Sarasota, with consideration for other Florida sites for the right candidate. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and client relationships, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong experience with drainage studies, stormwater management, and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.
  • Strong project management experience including scope, budget, schedule, and delivery.
  • Experience leading teams and managing client relationships; experience with proposals, scopes, and fees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and delivery of water resources projects (drainage, stormwater, flood mitigation, watershed planning).
  • Serve as primary client contact and trusted technical advisor.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and overall performance.
  • Develop and review technical reports, design plans, specs, cost estimates, and permitting documents.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and lead QA/QC efforts.
  • Navigate Florida regulatory and permitting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients and contribute to proposals and interviews.
  • Develop scopes, fees, and approaches for new opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff.
