Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with Water Resources specialization.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 5+ years in water resources-related work.
  • Experience developing and reviewing H&H models at local and watershed scales.
  • Experience with H&H models such as ICPR/StormWise, EPA SWMM, XP-SWMM, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with ESRI GIS software.
  • Experience managing projects including client relations, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating teams.

We work collaboratively with public agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders to deliver practical and sustainable solutions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer with 5+ years of experience in water resources engineering, stormwater management, and watershed planning. The ideal candidate will have experience leading hydrologic and hydraulic modeling projects, managing client relationships, and overseeing project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires a strong combination of project management expertise and technical leadership to support public-sector water resources projects throughout Florida. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. We are seeking Florida-based professionals with local knowledge of permitting, regulatory coordination, and project delivery practices to support our clients and projects throughout the state.

Desired Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as Project Manager and Technical Lead for a variety of water resources projects.
  • Manage water resources planning and design projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Prepare fee proposals, scope documents, person-hour estimates, project budgets, and work plans.
  • Develop and review hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models at both local and watershed scales.
  • Conduct watershed studies, stormwater management analyses, drainage evaluations, and flood-risk assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership in model development, analysis, and implementation.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, and final design documents.
  • Lead engineering investigations, planning studies, and technical staff to support project execution.
  • Maintain client relationships and support business development initiatives.
Education and Licensure (Minimum Required)
  • ABET-accredited Engineering bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources preferred)
  • A current State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience (Minimum Required)
  • A minimum of 5+ years in water resources-related work.
  • Proficiency in developing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models at local and watershed scales.
  • Experience with H&H models such as ICPR/StormWise, EPA SWMM, XP-SWMM, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with ESRI GIS software.
  • Experience managing projects, including client relations, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of project teams.
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Experience coordinating with Florida regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with Southwest Florida Water Management District projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
