Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Senior or Principal Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to lead complex water resources projects from Florida offices (Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Melbourne, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Clearwater, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Gainesville). You’ll work on urban stormwater management, floodplain mapping, and NPDES permitting support for clients across the state.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, PE/registrations, and strong skills in

Qualifications

At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of research or related experience.
Experience with modeling and design software for water resources projects.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Willingness to travel and perform field work.

Responsibilities

Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies.
Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment.
Applying hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software from 1-D to 3-D transport models.
Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs.
Field investigations and construction support services.
Developing construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
Preparing erosion and sediment control designs.
Interacting with client representatives.
Directing multidisciplinary project teams.
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments.
Supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring.
Enhancing geosyntec visibility at industry conferences.
