Job summary

KLJ is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, manage projects, and mentor junior staff in Helena, MT. The role requires a PE license, 6+ years of water resources experience, and proficiency with standard modeling tools.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients to meet regulatory objectives and project goals. The candidate will oversee scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality control while promoting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license.
• 6+ years water resources engineering experience.
• Strong background in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Proficiency with engineering software and modeling tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Task Lead and Project Manager for hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resource projects.
• Lead analyses using industry-standard software and modeling tools.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality control.
• Mentor junior staff and review calculations, reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
