Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Advanced Specialist in Water Damage to lead drying and repair operations for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. You will direct teams, interpret plans, and optimize humidity control using heat and desiccant methods while coordinating with HVAC systems.

The role requires advanced knowledge of IICRC standards, field documentation, and the ability to work nights and weekends during large losses. Travel will be periodic.

Qualifications

• Proficient in IICRC Water Damage and Mold standards.
• Current IICRC ASD designation.
• Must demonstrate mastery of BELFOR Water Damage procedures and documentation.
• Experience with moisture mapping, meters, and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Direct teams and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Review daily project requirements and document progress.
• Provide field documentation including photos, charts, and sketches.
• Read plans/floor plans and determine humidity objectives.
• Calculate humidity load and affected volume; coordinate additional support for large losses.
• Assess electrical consumption of drying equipment and temporary power needs.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain equipment.
• Travel periodically; work nights and weekends as required.
• Attend BELFOR security and safety trainings.
