Job summary

Staples is hiring a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Tolleson, AZ. You will mentor staff, fill in for supervisors, and operate forklifts and related equipment in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will ensure safety, maintain cleanliness, and support team collaboration to meet customer needs. This role requires 18+, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Overtime may be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) following safety procedures.
• Move product within the warehouse while keeping a clean and safe workspace.
