Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support CCTV installations and configurations for DoD Army facilities worldwide. The role focuses on field-based work, installing and testing CCTV hardware, wiring, and server equipment, with extensive travel and long deployments.

You will read blueprints, manage cable pathways, and ensure safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 90% (four months at a time).

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to travel up to 90% of the time, up to four months at a time.
• Experience with CCTV, networking, and security system wiring.
• Ability to install and test CCTV infrastructure and server rack equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect and configure CCTV equipment in server racks including cameras, switches, servers, and power supplies.
• Mount cameras and adjust angles for proper coverage.
• Configure camera systems and recording devices.
• Test installed equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Run and route low-voltage cables (Cat5e/Cat6, coaxial, power).
• Pull cables through walls, ceilings, conduits, trays, and underground pathways.
• Drill holes, mount brackets, and install cable supports.
• Terminate network cables using RJ45 connectors and patch panels.
• Read blueprints and site layouts; complete installation reports with documentation.
• Travel for deployments and work at DoD Army facilities worldwide.
