Job summary

North Tollway Pet Hospital, a part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks a Hospital Manager to lead the hospital support team daily. You will partner with the Veterinarian to drive revenue, manage costs, and sustain a culture of high-quality patient care and excellent client service.

Located in Dallas, TX, the hospital has served companion animals since 1994, offering preventive care, dentistry, surgery, emergency care, and avian/exotic medicine while emphasizing integrity and empathy.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health science or related field preferred.
• At least five years of direct office management experience, with two years supervisory experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered.
• Ability to deliver courteous, prompt customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and related systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to complete tasks promptly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling; some weekends/holidays may be required.
• Able to work around animals, chemicals, and other hazards.
• May involve long periods at a keyboard or standing/walking.
• Physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in all hospital support areas; meet labor goals.
• Hire/train office and clinical support staff; handle new-hire paperwork.
• Orient and train new staff on hospital operations.
• Provide feedback; resolve staff issues; weekly reviews with Regional Manager.
• Conduct timely performance appraisals.
• Document and report accidents; file reports as needed.
• Draft policies/procedures for hospital technical areas; seek approval.
• Schedule staff and coordinate with DVM.
• Monitor time punches and overtime; manage staffing levels.
• Oversee daily operations and administrative duties.
• Ensure compliance with administrative responsibilities with support team.
• Monitor budgets, purchases, and facility maintenance.
• Process contracts and invoices with vendors; obtain W-9s.
