Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a qualified Foreman to lead field crews in vegetation management and line clearance operations. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, training, and effective communication with customers and crew members.

The Foreman will ensure work is performed to contract specifications, maintain records, and adapt to changing plans while upholding company safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have 1-2 years of recent foreman or crew lead experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver's license; Commercial Driver's License strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Work safely while performing the task at hand.
• Responsible for efficiently scheduling crews and assigning their work.
• Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).
• Lead, train, and coach team members on proper pruning techniques (natural & directional).
• Communicate with customers to convey project issues, concerns, explanations, procedures, and techniques to be used.
• Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Ensure crew members carry out work as planned.
• Adapt quickly to abrupt changes in plans and schedules.
• Understand and adhere to the Line Clearance Contract with the Owner.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Assist in on-the-job training for less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
