Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction VDC Lead to drive BIM coordination and field-ready model development on major projects in the United States. You will serve as the critical bridge between design and construction teams, ensuring constructability, on-site support, and timely model updates.

With 5+ years of related experience, you will lead multi-discipline coordination, manage RFIs, and maintain model fidelity across the construction lifecycle to support safe, efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or combination of education and industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years in related industry experience.
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite liaison between design teams, construction teams, subcontractors, delegated design partners, and field leadership.
• Ensure digital models support construction execution, constructability, field coordination, and installation requirements.
• Provide onsite construction support and participate in coordination meetings and field planning sessions.
• Provide design-construction integration services and coordinate design changes, RFIs, bulletins, and updates.
• Maintain project model continuity and perform BIM quality reviews and constructability checks.
• Coordinate across all design disciplines and resolve coordination conflicts.
• Coordinate delegated design scopes with specialty contractors and integrate into project models.
• Provide constructability and installation support, evaluate sequencing impacts, and reduce RFIs and rework.
