Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Lead UX Designer in Charlotte to own user experience strategy for a flagship Genius portfolio component. You will define the UX vision, drive customer-centered design, and evolve design systems across mobile, web, kiosk and POS.

Partner with Product Management and Engineering to deliver engaging experiences and align with business goals. You will conduct user research, define personas and journeys, and advocate accessibility and modern UX practices throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design or related field; typically 8+ years of UX or product design experience.
• Experience designing customer-facing digital experiences across mobile and web.
• Experience partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Experience developing user journeys, personas, and design strategies.
• Experience establishing or evolving design systems and component libraries.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the user experience vision across mobile, web, kiosk, and point-of-sale experiences.
• Lead user-centered design efforts from discovery through delivery, partnering with PM and Engineering.
• Own personas, journey maps, experience frameworks, and interaction models for product strategy.
• Establish scalable design systems, component libraries, and reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure designs translate into high-quality experiences.
• Conduct and oversee user research activities including usability testing and interviews.
• Champion accessibility, usability, and modern UX best practices within the PDLC.
• Advocate for UX across the organization and drive modernization of customer-facing experiences.
