Job summary

Benchmark Utility Services is seeking a Foreman to lead daily operations on utility construction projects in the Ruston area. You will supervise field crews, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within specifications.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong blueprint-reading skills, OSHA 10/30 certification, and a willingness to perform laborer duties when necessary. Six-day availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years hands-on construction experience
• OSHA 10/30 certification required
• Experience supervising or foreman role preferred
• Experience with subcontractors and on-site teams
• Ability to read blueprints and plans
• Physical stamina for field work

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activity and time reporting of field crews
• Oversee toolbox talks, dig permits, and paperwork
• Review project plans, track materials, deliveries, and subcontractor work
• Inspect sites for safety and compliance with specs
• Troubleshoot operational problems to minimize downtime
• Maintain communication with Superintendent and project managers
• Lead and mentor crew members; conduct performance evaluations
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards
• Read blueprints and technical drawings for equipment installation
• Perform in-lab or on-site equipment checks as required
• Be prepared to labor or operate equipment when needed
• Work up to six days a week if required
