Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring an Underground Safety and Health Trainer to develop and implement training programs for competency and site compliance. The role ensures employees have the skills, knowledge, and attitude to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

You will create training records, conduct assessments, and build competency-based programs while collaborating with operations to drive continuous improvement. A rotating night/day schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of training experience in heavy industry (required).
• Proven experience working with peer groups and focus teams (required).
• Ability to drive results and meet deadlines (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required).
• Leadership and influencing others (required).
• Promote safety in training and lead by example (required).
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (preferred).
• Proven safe work record (required).
• Ability to work rotating nights and days (essential).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain training records per MSHA regulations.
• Conduct assessments with operating departments.
• Develop and administer training programs.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities within training.
• Create site-specific training courses based on needs.
• Develop outlines and determine instructional methods.
• Audit and review training courses for improvement.
• Plan and deliver Annual Refresher Training for all employees.
• Assist with site hazard training and new hire training.
