Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Safety Trainer to support training across its Nevada operations, delivering MSHA/OSHA compliant safety programs and maintaining competency records. You will lead course delivery, refreshers, and documentation while coordinating with site stakeholders to sustain safe and sustainable mining practices.

Qualifications

• MSHA Instructor Certification required and five years of mining, construction or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of MSHA, State, OSHA and ATF regulations.
• Proven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Promote safety in training and lead by example.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proven safe work record and strong time-management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training for new miners, experienced miners, hazards, site and task-specific programs.
• Lead alignment and scheduling of annual refresher training for all personnel.
• Manage Learning Management System to meet regulatory obligations and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable training solutions.
• Audit training materials and programs for continuous improvement.
• Mentor site trainers and potentially lead the training team in place of a supervisor.
• Maintain document control and ensure ISO and company standard alignment.
