Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to analyze and confidently present data to promote ideas and opportunities to lead improvement.
• Minimum of five (5) years of underground mining experience required.
• Previous leadership, training and Learning Management Systems experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of MSHA, State, and ATF regulations required.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Direct the supervision, mentoring and coaching of divisional trainers and assessors.
• Communicate, coach, and assist in the field to ensure safety and training expectations are understood and met.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development plans for the team.
• Lead standardization of divisional procedures, guidelines, and training templates.
• Collaborate across Carlin to standardize procedures and training materials.
• Drive continuous improvement of training materials and systems for better retention.
• Develop and implement a Competency Based Training system within division and across Carlin.
• Oversee assessment schedules for Competency Based Training courses.
• Assist in training record storage and document control management.
• Conduct regular task observations and course evaluations.
• Assist in planning Annual Refresher Training for all employees.
• Participate in site strategic training forecasting and objectives.
• Present data and ideas to management in formal and informal settings.
• Support LMS implementation with operations and management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
