Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Training Supervisor for the Carlin Underground Division. You will supervise, mentor, and coach trainees, implement training plans, and ensure compliance with MSHA standards while coordinating with operations and maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, development of training programs, and maintaining accurate records to support a safe, productive mining environment. A strong safety mindset and instructional skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MSHA Instructor Certification preferred.
• Five (5) years of underground mining experience with leadership ability.
• Proven experience working with peer groups and focus teams.
• Ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and safety-focused training delivery.
• Competent with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proven safe work record.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision, mentoring and coaching of trainees.
• Lead training plan execution aligned with mine plans to improve safety and production.
• Maintain training evaluations and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams.
• Communicate, coach, and assist in the field to meet training expectations.
• Develop, implement and update training programs for competency.
• Ensure site compliance and maintain training records per MSHA regulations.
• Create training courses and teaching outlines; determine instructional methods.
