Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Cable Splicer to construct and repair underground electrical systems. The role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, with potential travel to out-of-state sites as required by operations and customer needs.

Responsibilities include leading crew in the absence of the IC, training apprentices, installing underground power conductors, and performing live-line work with proper PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground electrical systems, both energized and de-energized.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and insulation procedures.
