Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a Cable Splicer to construct and repair electrical underground systems, on energized or de-energized lines. You may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

You will lead crews, mentor apprentices, and perform live-line work with proper PPE. Expect outdoor work in diverse environments and potential on-call rotations as required by project needs.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Experience with live-line work safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair of energized/de-energized systems.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job tailgate safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power, conductors and hardware.
• Work with live-line safety methods using proper PPE and tools.
