Job summary

PIKE Electric, LLC is seeking a Cable Splicer to safely construct and repair underground electrical systems, on energized and de-energized lines, with travel to multiple job sites as needed. You will lead crews, mentor apprentices, operate backhoes and bucket trucks, and follow strict safety protocols while working in diverse outdoor conditions and on-call rotations.

Strong CDL, at least 3 years underground experience, and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of underground experience in electrical systems
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and maintenance of underground systems, energized and de-energized
• Lead crew members in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen
• Install and repair underground power conductors and related hardware
• Follow tagging procedures and safety protocols for energized equipment
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, and digger trucks
• Work outdoors in varying weather and hazardous conditions
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques
