Penske is hiring an experienced Technician I in Wilmington, OH. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, mentor others, and work independently on major and minor repairs. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and ongoing technician training.

Qualifications

• Six years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Experience using welding equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Learn through Penske's technician training.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
