Job summary

Penske is seeking a technician in Newark, OH to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log repairs with Penske tools, learn through on‑the‑job coaching, and contribute to safety and reliability across a variety of equipment.

This role offers growth, stable employment, and structured technician training. You’ll work with experienced supervisors in a clean, well‑equipped facility, with industry‑leading certification programs and cutting‑edge vehicle maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use Penske tools and follow safety requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work outdoors.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA safety rules; capable of drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on gas/diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through technician training and coaching.
• Contribute to other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
