Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson in Wisconsin to lead daily crew operations, coordinate field work, train staff, and enforce safety standards on site. The role focuses on operational efficiency, safety compliance, and customer communication while maintaining equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to read drawings and symbols for lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight and height restrictions per job safety policy.
• Willingness to pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after receiving orders.
• Conducts field training and retraining of crew.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Communicates with property owners about access and work scope; refers complex issues to supervisor.
• Obtains permissions to perform required work.
• Maintains customer relations through quality, on-time completion.
• Keeps records, timesheets, and crew reports; manages costs.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed and crew performance.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments for safety and access.
• Sets up barriers and safety signage; protects crew and public.
• Inspects and coordinates repairs of tools and equipment; maintains truck cleanliness.
• Ensures DOT maintenance/inspection on vehicles and keeps up with policy changes.
• Carries out Trimmer/Climber tasks when needed.
