Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to lead daily crew operations and ensure safety compliance. You will plan, coordinate, and assign work, train crew members, and interface with property owners to obtain access and address concerns.

You will enforce OSHA-based safety practices, track crew performance, manage costs, and produce reports for the General Foreperson. Valid driver’s license and ability to work at heights required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understands drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Possess organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Able to work independently without close supervision.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit around 300 pounds due to equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Willing to pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving/interpreting orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses with property owner/customer issues such as access, power interruption, and work to be done; refers controversial cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and appropriate behavior of employees.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs, including effective use of people power and equipment.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed and crew performance to General Foreperson/utility representatives.
