Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson in Wisconsin to drive daily crew productivity, coordinate with management on hiring needs and safety protocols, and mentor crew members. The role emphasizes problem solving on job sites and strong communication with property owners.

The position requires a CDL, ability to supervise in the field, and handling of safety and procedural guidelines to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Understands drawings and symbols representing lines and voltages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit of up to 300 pounds and no fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per experience, policy, and OSHA standards; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, work scope, and property issues with owners; refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform work.
• Promotes and maintains customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and professional conduct of the crew.
• May investigate incident reports and minor damage claims.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Controls crew costs and optimize use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, unit counts, crew time, and damages to relevant supervisors.
• Periodically reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and property damage; supports follow-up.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments during street or driveway blocks.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and safety markers to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment; maintains good housekeeping.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection requirements on all vehicles.
• Keeps informed about new equipment, specs, and company policies; requests repairs when needed.
