Job summary

Wright Tree Service seeks a General Foreperson to supervise the line clearance crew, allocate tasks, and ensure safety and compliance on the job site. You will apply OSHA standards, read maps and drawings, manage work orders, and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet production goals.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid. Expect travel to job sites and occasional emergency response duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience on tree trimming/clearance crews or successful skills assessments.
• Valid First-Aid and CPR cards are required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical card per FMCSA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of line clearance crew members and assign daily tasks.
• Interpret and apply union agreements; manage performance and coaching.
• Ensure safety training, OSHA compliance, and pre-job briefings.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, disciplinary actions, leaves, and policy enforcement.
• Maintain crew records, timesheets, work orders, and cost controls.
• Stay in touch with customers and regulatory bodies; respond to emergencies as needed.
