Job summary

The Townsend Company, LLC is seeking a General Foreperson to lead tree crews and manage day-to-day operations on site. This role oversees scheduling, planning, and supervision while ensuring safety, cost control, and adherence to employment policies.

It also serves as a primary customer interface, driving service quality and timely communication. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of related experience, 2+ years in a supervisory role, and a valid DOT certification.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of directly related experience.
• Two (2) or more years in a Group Lead/Supervisory role.
• Knowledge of industry hazards, standards, practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Qualified to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and supervise tree crews.
• Schedule, plan, coordinate, and assign work, including overtime.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct safety meetings and hazard assessments.
• Monitor quality, customer service, and issue resolution.
• Hire and supervise employees in compliance with company guidelines.
• Maintain records and report issues to supervisor and office.
