Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to supervise and motivate a crew, ensuring safe productivity and adherence to training requirements. This role involves operating and maintaining equipment, communicating with the General Foreperson, and coordinating daily tasks on site.

The Foreperson will also handle customer interactions, enforce safety policies, and document work orders, timesheets, and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Understands drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights under demanding conditions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills required.
• Must be organized, able to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision.
• Capable of driving an approved company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Trims/removes trees with climbing or ground-based methods and safely lowers materials.
• Operates and maintains tree-care equipment and tools.
• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after orders from a General Foreperson.
• Trains and retrains crew on new procedures and safety practices.
• Ensures safe work practices and OSHA-compliant procedures are followed.
• Maintains accurate crew records, timesheets, and reports.
• Communicates with property owners for access and project details.
• Responds to emergencies and assists with storm restoration activities.
