Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related curriculum with five years of progressive technician experience.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• Understanding of DOT Standards and Specifications and Roadway Standard Drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Supervise and maintain inspection staff on-site.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Maintain records including material certifications and daily diaries.
• Interact with public, agencies, contractors, and others to resolve field issues.
