Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Survey Technology from an accredited institution.
• Seven (7) years of progressive technician level experience or equivalent.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
• Thorough understanding of DOT Standards and Specifications and Roadway Standard Drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of contractor’s operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Supervise and maintain subordinate inspection staff during construction.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Maintain records including material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Interact with the public, agencies, contractors, and others to respond to inquiries.
