Qualifications

• Associate degree plus five years of technician-level experience in transportation construction or equivalent.
• Experience analyzing highway construction plans and applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
• Working knowledge of DOT Standards and Roadway Standard Drawings; relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician).

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on roadway and bridge projects to ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Supervise field staff and coordinate inspector activities on construction projects.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items and maintain site records.
• Collect and organize material certifications, testing reports, and daily diaries.
• Interact with public agencies, contractors, and clients to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
