Qualifications

• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires completion and passing of JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related field with seven years of experience.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans and DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Supervise and maintain subordinate inspection staff during construction.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Gather and maintain record documents including material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Interact with the public, government agencies, contractors and others to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
