Job summary

CDR Maguire Inc. seeks a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor for the Chester County Bridge #297 project in Chester County, PA. The role involves coordinating with contractors, engineers, and job superintendents to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements.

The candidate will prepare daily reports, manage schedules, review shop drawings, and may supervise inspectors. A BS in Civil Engineering and industry certifications are required; ECMS experience and OSHA

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or post secondary education; able to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computations.

Responsibilities

Consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others on plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work.
Prepare and submit daily progress reports; maintain progress schedules and check shop drawings and quotations for variations.
Supervise a staff of inspectors when applicable; ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and health and safety plan.
Check delivered materials for conformity to contract documents and verify contractor layout for accuracy.
Prepare contractors' progress payment claims and recommend payments; maintain records of quantities and costs.
