Job summary

Stantec is seeking Senior Construction Inspectors (or Transportation Engineering Technicians) to join our Transportation team in Virginia or Maryland. You will inspect roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects, coordinate with contractors, and prepare detailed QA/QC reports.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in construction inspection, a technical degree, and a valid driver’s license. This field-based role requires travel and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent; 7+ years of field construction experience.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Must possess required certifications and knowledge of roadway/bridge construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections for roadway, structure, and bridge projects.
• Coordinate inspections with contractor and client teams.
• Prepare and review project reports and QA/QC documentation.
• Verify lines, grades, dimensions using survey equipment.
• Mentor junior staff on procedures and software.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance on site.
