Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks Senior Construction Inspectors to join our Transportation Division in Virginia Beach and Richmond, VA. You will support major transportation projects and help deliver safe, high‑quality infrastructure.

Requirements include a minimum of 7 years of construction inspection experience and certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Tech Grade I, VDOT Pavement/Soils, OSHA 10, and related programs. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of construction inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety principles and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Establish engineering controls for the construction contractor and inspect the work.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and perform on-site material testing.
• Read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
• Travel to project sites as required; nights/weekends may be needed.
