Job summary

Stantec seeks Senior Construction Inspectors (or Transportation Engineering Technicians) to join our Virginia/Maryland Transportation team. You will perform daily inspections on complex projects, ensuring contractor compliance with plans, specs, and contract documents while coordinating with the client and project team.

This role requires field work, strong knowledge of VDOT procedures, and the ability to mentor junior staff. A valid driver's license and a proactive safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of VDOT procedures and policies.
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection leadership on complex projects.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare and review inspection documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and project team to maintain schedules.
