Job summary

Eversource is seeking a senior leader to manage the Special Studies team within Transmission System Planning in the United States. The role focuses on scenario-based expansion, resiliency, and reliability services, guiding technical decisions and budgets.

The candidate will interact with ISO-NE and other stakeholders, bring deep engineering expertise, and drive strategic planning across multi-disciplinary teams to support reliable, cost-effective grid evolution.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering is required.
10 years in transmission system planning, engineering or related operations management experience, including supervisory experience.
Thorough knowledge and experience in electric transmission planning.
Experience with system analysis software and modeling.
Leadership in strategic planning.
Thorough knowledge of transmission power system protection and control systems.
PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead special studies for future grid scenarios, resiliency and essential reliability services.
Interact with ISO-NE, NEPOOL/RTO committees and other stakeholders.
Develop plans for scenario-based transmission expansion and reinforcement.
Establish goals, monitor and report results, and manage budgets.
Provide technical leadership and recommendations on complex engineering problems.
Lead regulatory filings, technical presentations and proceedings.
