Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Transmission System Planning's compliance activities for a multi-state region. You will guide a team responsible for long-term planning, model maintenance, and regulatory filings, ensuring reliability and regulatory adherence across CT, MA, NH, and beyond.

The role requires deep knowledge of NERC/ISO-NE frameworks, strategic planning, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments and external regulators.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in transmission planning.
• Thorough knowledge of NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE compliance requirements.
• Experience leading regulatory filings and stakeholder engagement with regulators and internal teams.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• 10 years of experience in transmission planning or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manages electric transmission planning compliance with state, regional and NERC standards and regulations.
• Leads the team to perform timely planning assessments to ensure compliance with NERC reliability standards.
• Oversees the management and maintenance of transmission planning models such as powerflow, stability, EMT/GMD models.
• Solves complex technical problems and provides strategic leadership for regulatory filings.
• Presents and coordinates testimony and written responses for rate cases and regulatory proceedings.
