Job summary

Eversource is seeking a senior leader for the Special Studies team within Transmission System Planning. You will manage complex analyses, outline future grid scenarios, and coordinate with ISO-NE/NEPOOL on regulatory and market impacts.

The role includes budgeting, goal setting, and supervising area staff to advance holistic transmission planning across the three-state service territory. Requires a BS in Engineering and 10 years of related experience; an advanced degree is preferred and PE

Qualifications

Ten (10) years in transmission system planning, engineering or related operations management with supervisory experience.
Ability to lead strategic planning and regulatory interactions.
Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manages special studies for electric transmission system planning, including future grid scenarios, resiliency, and policy impacts.
Develops and presents technical positions for regulatory proceedings.
Leads budget development, monitors results, and oversees area staff performance.
Interfaces with ISO-NE, NEPOOL/RT0 groups and other external organizations.
Defines and implements best practices for efficient study planning and project execution.
