Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the electric transmission and distribution system. You will coordinate evaluations of system failures and provide support to operations on unplanned maintenance, ensuring high-quality, safe, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum eight years’ experience in electrical utility engineering.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; directs work of at least 2 FTE Engineers.
• Develops life cycle plans and multi-year capital projects.
• Ensures design and specification work for transmission and distribution is accurate and timely.
• Provides technical support and direction during normal and emergency situations.
• Performs root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
• Manages standards and procedures for design, operation and maintenance.
• Assists with storm duty and major events.
